Functions:

Legal/Legislative Committee

  • We retain very competent lobbyists on the hill to assist us in maintaining a strong presence to protect your rights to practice. We provide D.C.s with legislative updates.
  • Interface with State Licensing Board and state agencies.

Public Relations Committee

  • Our purpose is not just striving to get new patients but to reposition Chiropractic for a prosperous and rightful future.
  • Advertising

Insurance Relations Committee

An active, watchful committee which keeps doctors abreast of changes in insurance codes and/or billing procedures. We have several D.C.s on committees to keep our members informed about late breaking news relating to Worker’s Comp and Industrial Commission situations. We also have several members under the direction of our Chairman of the Board attending Insurance Task Force meetings to improve relations with auto insurance companies. One development is a PIP form to be utilized by all.

Continuing Education Committee

  • Authorization of Continuing Education Credits. The Licensing Board has requested our assistance in approving hours.
  • Semi-Annual Conventions: This is a time to receive quality continuing education while socializing. The November Convention is the largest. We always have nationally renown speakers, great meals, lots of vendor support, our annual business meeting with election of officers, and Saturday evening there is always a great banquet with awards & entertainment/dancing.
  • In-State Seminars: The association also sponsors mini-seminars to keep you informed. For instance when there are changes in insurance codes we put on an Insurance Seminar. When a number of chiropractors are interested in a specific speaker, technique, etc, the association has co-sponsored seminars.

Professional Development Committee

  • New Doctor Orientation: New Doctors in the state can receive assistance from the executive director, board members, and be put i contact with D.C.s of a particular interest or expertise.
  • Practice Development Seminars: In the past a collection of D.C.s have met to exchange ideas and have speakers on certain professional development topics.
