Governor Huntsman issued a call to action last week at the Utah Intergovernmental Roundtable on Health System Reform: He challenged us all to ’summit’ (to bring to the tipping point) meaningful health system reforms in our state.
Join us “on deck” as we take Gov. Huntsman’s words to heart. We need your voice in the reform conversation. We must coalesce the forces for change in the way Utah finances and delivers health care.
To this end, Utah Health Policy Project is sponsoring summits to discuss meaningful health system reform with legislators and candidates. Join us for informal conversation on where we are today and the possibilities for the 2009 General Legislative Session. Here are the dates and times:
Sandy- Tuesday, October 14th from 5:00 to 6:30-
Sandy Library (10100 South Petunia Way), small meeting room
Salt Lake- Wednesday, Oct. 15th from 5:00 to 6:30
Room 4112, State Capitol Office Building (Utah State Capitol Complex)
Provo- Wednesday, Oct. 22nd from 5:00 to 6:30
Room 302, Provo City Library (550 N University Avenue)
These summits are a wonderful opportunity to engage with your legislators and neighbors about the need for real reforms. Learn how you can encourage the Legislature to work towards containing cost, increasing access, and improving quality—goals that will have broad impacts on Utahns.
